NWES Purim Extravaganza 

The Golda Cohen Room was unable to accommodate the exceptionally high attendance for this year's Megillah Reading and Purim Party on 8th March. At Rabbi Shisler's instigation, in addition to the usual fancy dress parade, we held a "Purim Spiel", with many members of the congregation joining in the fun and performing their party pieces, with contributions of songs, sketches, satires, music and monologues. Amongst the performers were Denise and Melvyn Lux, Debbie and Lester Kershenbaum, Arnold Chazen, Stanley Warren, Bernard Freudenthal, Bobby Tallalay, our student quartet - Daniel, Charles, Simon and Darren - and a duet from Rabbi Shisler and Jeremy Lawson.

As these photographs shows, a jolly good time was had by all!
