We are still going strong after many years, and our loyal committee members work so hard to help and encourage those we visit.

Sometimes a telephone call is sufficient - just to let someone know they are not forgotten. Often a visit is rewarding for both parties. We learn so much from older members – their fascinating lives, their early memories. We hope we bring to them care and consideration, a smiling face and a listening ear.

Occasionally we are involved with Social Services in arranging help in one way or another. At other times it is the small things – writing a cheque, hearing about a problem, a hospital appointment, collecting a prescription.

For Pesach we will be delivering a basket of goodies to help those who find it difficult to get about to celebrate this festival.

Thank you to all our members for their wonderful, quiet and mostly unsung work.
