What’s been the Social and Academic highlight of the year at the New West End?

Undoubtedly the superbly organised Supper Quiz on Sunday 21 April in a packed Herbert Samuel Hall. There was not a seat to be had, every table fully occupied by Quiz contestants poised to answer a challenging range of questions covering the A to Z of the world.

Organised by Martin and Linda Lewin the Quiz marked a welcome return appearance of Charles Landau and his Quiz team – with questions that tantalised, got your memory going, and made you realise just how ignorant you really are. But of course some knew more than others – especially the supreme winners, the Fogelman table, closely followed by the Magrill gang – congratulations!

A successful Supper Quiz needs acclaim for its food, and here Anne Shisler, together with a great team of victuallers, did us proud. Tons of food, all delicious. Putting on an event such as this is a big undertaking, and our thanks are due to everyone who put in so much time and effort to make it the very big success that it was.
