The New West End maintains an exceptional tradition of fine musical content in our services, led by the Chazan and the choir, who add beauty and reverence to our Shabbat and Festival services. The NWE is steeped in Anglo-Jewish music - our first choirmaster in 1879, and for half a century thereafter, was the great D M Davis who compiled “The Voice of Prayer and Praise”, the famous “Blue Book” which is the musical bible of the Anglo-Jewish minhag. We also hold occasional concerts and CDs are available from the Synagogue office.
