New West End Synagogue - St Petersburgh Place

The New West End Synagogue has a long history of providing a thriving Cheder, with classes for boys and girls from five years of age up to Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

As from the new school year (commencing Autumn Term 2007), we are pleased to announce the amalgamation of our Hebrew classes with those of Holland Park Synagogue, which will provide many added benefits for the children, with an exceptional student/teacher ratio .

Within the cheder classes, special attention is paid to Hebrew reading, as well as the Jewish Festivals, Laws and Customs. In addition, a number of less formal activities take place each year, ranging from demonstrations of Challah baking and Shofar manufacture to Succah decoration.

The Cheder meets every Sunday morning from 10.00am and the classes will be located in the Autumn Term 2007 at Holland Park Synagogue, followed in the Spring Term 2008 at New West End Synagogue, and then by continuous rotation.

We would be very pleased to welcome your son/daughter to join our Cheder classes and to experience the enjoyable learning environment run by the experienced teaching staff.
