New West End Synagogue - St Petersburgh Place

Cheder

The New West End Synagogue has a long history of providing a thriving Cheder, with classes for boys and girls from five years of age up to Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

Our Hebrew classes are now held in conjunction with those of Holland Park Synagogue, which provides many added benefits for the children, with an exceptional student/teacher ratio .

Within the cheder classes, special attention is paid to Hebrew reading, as well as the Jewish Festivals, Laws and Customs. In addition, a number of less formal activities take place each year, ranging from demonstrations of Challah baking and Shofar manufacture to Succah decoration.

The Cheder meets every Sunday morning from 9.30am. The venue alternates between the New West End Synagogue and Holland Park Synagogue; this term the classes take place in Holland Park synagogue.

We would be very pleased to welcome your son/daughter to join our Cheder classes and to experience the enjoyable learning environment run by the experienced teaching staff.
